Enter into flow mind state of birth
You are awesome

Birth is a natural event, but we need to feel comfortable with sounds and movements. Your body will make moves you never may have made. You need to take responsibility for the power that comes out of your body. You have to own it; it’s you. You have to be comfortable with yourself totally. It takes work.
In the couples workshop I can tell you it was hard for him. He liked meditating and when we all moved together, but not when the attention was all on us as a couple. But through the workshop he felt more connected with the birthing team. It really helped him to feel connected with me for the birth. I was uncomfortable for him, for the feeling of being a clueless man. It was so much better that he knew what sounds and movements I would be doing so when it came to the birth I wouldn’t worry about what he was thinking.
I had to work and practice with my husband so he understood what I was doing. There was nothing better than when he would hug me and say, ‘You are awesome’. – Vicki Prescott
Heart to Heart to Heart is a full-day session for couples to connect with the mother, the baby and each other in preparation for birth. Through movement, touch and mindfulness practices, participants practice entering into the physiological rhythms, flow mind state and activities of the baby and mother during birth.
Throughout the day a couple has an opportunity to create the outer container of safety and support within which the woman and baby labor.
Join in intensity & intimacy
Just as the woman and the baby labor together in intensity and with vulnerability, partners are called upon to join in intensity and intimacy in support. Through partner assisted labor positions and slow dancing for early labor, partners are invited to practice giving their women and babies physical and emotional closeness in the session.
I lead you and your partner into an open space evocative of the birth, helping both of you slow down and connect with your baby. I take you through guided somatic meditations on a physiologic journey inward to meet the baby. By finding breath and pulse with each other and the baby, you experience heart to heart to heart connections among you. I guide you in practical skills for labor with somatic movement and massage, including partner supported activities and positions for labor.
You may opt to have your birth team come together in movement and mindfulness to create a shared birth vision.
